Rainy Day Portrait

On rainy days you just take what you can get, and what we got here is a north facing glass door. This lets nice reflected light fall on your subject--and it's big, so we don't have harsh shadows. Next, by reducing the exposure compensation you create darker shadows that remove the distracting background and highlight the highlights.

Nikon D90, 50mm lens, f/2.2, 2.0, 1/30s, ISO 1600, 1100 respectively.

P.S. Watch out for green light reflected off of green trees outside; it often settles into the shadows under the chin or beside the nose. Beware.
